Introduction of Femap 10.3.1

The latest release of Femap, version 10.3, helps improve productivity by continuing to streamline the meshing process with an automated geometry preparation capability that cleans up CAD model, removing unnecessary detail and cleaning up problematic geometry in preparation for meshing.
A new free body diagram calculation and display capability further augments the Postprocessing Toolbox and provides the engineer with detailed information about the load distribution and transfer in the structure. User interface support for NX Nastran is further extended with a new preprocessing capability for aeroelasticity covering statics and flutter analysis types.

Version 10.3 brings some performance improvements in the areas of forced dynamic response and preprocessing. In addition, there are numerous other customer driven enhancements included in this latest version of Femap.

The 10.3 highlights are:
   - There’s a new automatic solid geometry preparation capability that cleans up
the model and removes unnecessary detail prior to meshing.
   - User interface support has been extended to cover NX Nastran aeroelastic
preprocessing for statics and flutter analyses.
   - A new Free Body tool extension to the Postprocessing Toolbox allows easy
creation of free body diagrams and investigation of interface loads.
   - NX Nastran 8 support including new plane stress/strain elements in linear
solutions with 2D edge traction loading.
   - Several customer driven updates, including the ability to embed multiple
solids at once, set view alignment by selected surface…and much more.

Benefits of using Femap 10.3:
   - Significant time savings with finite element model creation.
   - FE models from complex 3D geometry are much easier to create and mesh
   first time.
   - Improved FE model accuracy with the removal of geometry imperfections
   that compromise element quality.
   - Easier, faster and more accurate aeroelastic statics and flutter analysis
preprocessing and model creation and setup.
   - Easier and faster generation and regeneration of free body diagrams.
   - Greater flexibility and control of free body display.

The 10.3.1 highlights are:
   - NX Nastran 8.1 support
   - Customer driven updates including entity visibility show/hide reversion option
   - More flexible group selection in Select Toolbar Create Group
   - Random entity color option and create loads from free bodies
